Which fields you maintain, what the app uses them for, and where things go wrong in practice.

Everything Fulfillment 4 weclapp needs for dangerous goods is on the weclapp item. Most fields are additional fields that we create with you during setup and connect to the app. Here you find the list, what each field does and the typical mistakes.

Where the substance data comes from

The app fetches the substance data for the UN number from the DPD dangerous goods database, checks daily for new versions and keeps the data in the cache for at most seven days.

You maintain on the item

  • Dangerous goods (yes/no)
  • UN number
  • Dangerous goods packaging
  • N.O.S. designation
  • LQ marking
  • Density factor
  • Net weight

Comes from the database

  • Class
  • Classification code
  • Packing group
  • Subsidiary hazard
  • Tunnel code
  • Points factor
  • Designation

Typical mistakes

You determine the UN number yourself; the app does not classify substances.

Net weight 0 or empty

The substance counts as zero, so points and net quantity are wrong.

Unknown UN number

The app then does not book with DPD. Check for typos first.

LQ on only one item

If not all items with the same UN number carry the LQ marking, the group is handled as full dangerous goods.

Packaging code missing

It is mandatory for DPD.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to create the custom fields myself?

No, we do that with you during setup and connect them to the app. After that, you only maintain the values on the item.

How current is the substance data?

The app checks the DPD dangerous goods database daily for new versions and uses cached data for at most seven days.
