Shipping Limited Quantities (LQ) from weclapp

LQ flag on the item, quantity check with density factor, 30 kg per package, no transport document.

Many shops ship dangerous goods in limited quantities: cleaning agents, paints, cosmetics. Fulfillment 4 weclapp decides per package whether the shipment may go as Limited Quantities and declares it correctly to the carrier. The duty to inform the carrier (ADR 3.4.12) and the LQ marking on the package remain with you.

How the app decides on LQ

LQ line items count as zero in the points total under the 1,000-point rule.

Marking on the item

LQ only applies if all items with the same UN number in the package carry the LQ marking.

Quantity limits

The app checks the quantity per inner packaging against reference values per class and packing group. Column 7a of the ADR table for your UN number remains authoritative.

Density factor

The app converts limits in liters into kilograms via the density. An example follows directly below.

Package limit

At most 30 kg per package.

Excluded

Classes 1 and 7 never ship as LQ.

Example: cleaning agent

Class 8, packing group II, 1.03 kg per bottle, density 1.03 g/ml.

Without density factor

The 1.03 kg bottle fails the 1 kg limit and does not ship as LQ.

With density factor 1.03 g/ml

The 1 liter limit equals 1.03 kg. The bottle may ship as LQ.

DPDLQ shipments without a transport document.
Gebrüder WeissLQ is declared along with the shipment.
DachserLQ with your Dachser customer dangerous goods ID. Without the ID, the app declares the item as full dangerous goods.
Kühne+NagelDetects dangerous goods items automatically.
Austrian PostLQ only. The app aborts shipments with full dangerous goods before booking.

Frequently asked questions

Does the app print the LQ mark?

Yes, on request. Via the app's template engine we print the LQ mark along with the label or on a separate printer. With the carrier, the app reports the shipment as LQ.

Does LQ count toward the points total?

No, in the app LQ line items enter the total with zero points.
