Every shipment with full dangerous goods needs a transport document. Fulfillment 4 weclapp generates it automatically from the UN number, net weight and the substance data in the dangerous goods database, with no template that someone fills in by hand. Here you can see what is in it, for which carriers it is created and how it is printed. Back to the overview: Gefahrgut 4 weclapp.

What is in it

  • UN number and official designation, with the technical name from the item for n.o.s. (n.a.g.) substances
  • Class, packing group and tunnel restriction code from the dangerous goods database
  • Number and type of packages, net quantity per substance
  • Sender and recipient from the weclapp delivery
  • Emergency contact from the central configuration
  • Points total under ADR 1.1.3.6 with a suggested note, see ADR points and the 1000-point rule

The mandatory details themselves are governed by ADR 5.4.1.1; the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (Wirtschaftskammer Ă–sterreich) provides the regulation text.

For which carriers, when it is created, how it is printed

  • DPD: for shipments with full dangerous goods, created right after booking. If creation fails, this is noted and the label stays valid.
  • GebrĂĽder Weiss: is stored in weclapp and, if you wish, printed along with it right away.
  • Dachser: is created for the shipment.
  • Limited Quantities: No document is created for pure LQ shipments, see Limited Quantities (LQ) from weclapp.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a transport document for Limited Quantities?

The app does not create one for pure LQ shipments. You still have to inform the carrier about the LQ dangerous goods (ADR 3.4.12).

What happens if creation fails?

With DPD, the document is created after booking. If that does not work, the app notes the error on the shipment and the label stays in place. You then regenerate the document before the parcel is handed over.

Can I print the document automatically?

Yes. With GebrĂĽder Weiss, the app prints it along with the label if you wish. How printer assignment and document types work together is described in Print automation with weclappOS.

Transport document without a template?

We show you the document on a real shipment from your weclapp and set up the emergency contact and printer with you.
