Everything Fulfillment 4 weclapp needs for dangerous goods is on the weclapp item. Most fields are custom fields that we create with you during setup and connect to the app. Here you find the list, the effect of each field, and the typical mistakes. Back to the overview: Gefahrgut 4 weclapp.

The fields at a glance

  • Dangerous goods (yes/no), trigger: automatically marks parcels containing this item as dangerous goods.
  • UN number, required: fetches class, designation, tunnel code, and points factor from the database.
  • Dangerous goods packaging, required for DPD: packaging code sent to the carrier, optional for Dachser.
  • N.O.S. designation, optional: technical name for n.o.s. substances.
  • Limited quantities (LQ), optional: LQ if all items with a UN number are marked.
  • Density factor (g/ml), optional: converts the LQ limit from liters to kilograms.
  • Net weight, required: the weclapp standard field, the basis for points, net quantity, and carrier data.

For UN numbers with several variants, such as UN1993, the packing group selects the right variant; we set that up for you in the configuration.

Where the substance data comes from

You don't maintain class, classification code, packing group, subsidiary hazard, tunnel code, points factor, and designation yourself. The app fetches them for the UN number from the DPD dangerous goods database, checks daily for new versions, and keeps the data in its cache for at most seven days. How it calculates from that: ADR points and the 1,000-point rule and Net weight and density factor.

Typical mistakes

  • Net weight 0 or empty: The substance counts as zero, and points and net quantity are wrong.
  • Unknown UN number: With DPD, the app then doesn't book. Check for typos first.
  • LQ on only one item: If not all items with the same UN number carry the LQ marker, the group ships as full dangerous goods.
  • Packaging code missing: For DPD, it is required.

You determine the UN number yourself; the app does not classify substances.
