Zoll-Automatisierung 4 weclapp

Customs documents are created at label printing from your weclapp data, not at the packing table

If you ship from weclapp to Switzerland, the UK, Norway or the USA, every parcel needs customs data and customs documents. Fulfillment 4 weclapp pulls this data from the item, invoice and delivery in weclapp, transmits it to the carrier at label printing, and prints the invoice, delivery note and customs documents along with it, on the printer you have designated for that. Described honestly, including the limits: the customs declaration itself is still made by the carrier, and you agree EORI and Incoterms with them. Everything before that, data, invoice, documents, printer, runs from weclapp.

Customs data at label printing

  • Customs declaration automatically: If the destination is outside the EU customs union, the app assembles goods description, tariff number, country of origin, quantity, value and weight per line item from your weclapp data at label printing. Details: Customs master data on the weclapp item
  • Customs value from the invoice: The value per line item comes from the weclapp invoice for the shipment, or alternatively from the order. With multiple invoices, the app selects the matching one via the delivery reference. Shipping costs are reported as a separate line item. Details: Customs invoice automatically from weclapp
  • Bills of materials declared correctly: Depending on the price setting of the bill of materials in weclapp, either the bundle item or its components end up in the declaration.
  • Errors before the label instead of at customs: If an item in a bill of materials is missing weight, tariff number, customs description or country of origin, the app stops printing and names the item in plain language.
  • Electronically to the carrier: DHL Paket, DHL Express, FedEx, Ă–sterreichische Post, UPS, DPD and GLS receive the customs data with the label request. Overview: Customs data per carrier

Printing invoice, delivery note and customs documents

  • One print set per shipment: With the label, the app prints the weclapp invoice, the delivery note and the carrier's customs document on request. Details: Printing customs documents
  • Dedicated customs printer: Customs documents go to the document printer, labels to the label printer. Printer routing in detail: Print automation with weclappOS
  • Fallback from weclapp: If a carrier does not provide its own customs document, the app prints the customs document from weclapp.
  • Paperless if you want: You can turn off printing of customs documents. The documents are still attached to the shipment in weclapp.

Country rules: Switzerland in triplicate, printers, multi-parcel

  • Multiple copies per country: For countries of your choice, for example Switzerland, the app prints customs documents in triplicate. Country guide: Shipping to Switzerland from weclapp
  • Multi-parcel shipments with customs: The app distributes line items, values and weights across the parcels as they were packed in the scan workflow, currently with DHL Paket; we enable further carriers on request.
  • Dangerous goods and customs together: Both checks run in the same label printing. What to keep in mind: Gefahrgut 4 weclapp

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does the app create a pro forma invoice?

No. The weclapp invoice is the commercial invoice. It supplies the customs values and prints along with the label. For samples or warranty replacements without an invoice, you create an invoice in weclapp with zero value or the customs value, and the app processes it like any other.

What happens with multiple invoices for one shipment?

The app selects the matching invoice via the delivery reference, prefers final invoices, and aborts with a message in case of ambiguity before a label is created.

Do I need an EORI number?

For exports from the EU, yes; you manage the number with customs and with the carrier. The app does not store or transmit it.

Where do tariff number and country of origin come from?

From the weclapp item: tariff number, country of origin, customs description and weight. If anything is missing, you see it before label printing. More on this: Customs master data on the weclapp item

Do I have to print the customs documents?

No. With FedEx they go to the carrier paperless, and with all carriers you can turn off printing. The documents stay attached to the shipment in weclapp.
