n8n 4 weclapp Autopilot: illustration of an automated order flow from order confirmation to invoice

How an order flows through

From incoming order to booked invoice: four steps that run without manual work for standard orders.

01

Prepare the order

The flow sets shipping method, notes, payment and workflow rules before the order confirmation goes out.

02

Confirm the order

The order moves cleanly into your fulfillment process. Automatically, without a click.

03

Create the delivery note

Immediately, or only once the goods are back in stock. Ideal for partial and back orders.

04

Invoice and close

Once the goods have shipped, the flow issues the invoice and closes open documents, so nothing gets stuck in accounting.

Why e-commerce teams ship faster with it

The Autopilot takes over a process that repeats every day, while keeping an eye on the special cases.

Icon: rocket

From shop to warehouse in minutes

The flow checks new and open orders at fixed intervals and triggers the next step. Your warehouse no longer waits for the next manual batch run.

Icon: warehouse

No order backlog after restocks

Confirmed orders that haven't shipped yet stay in view. As soon as the goods arrive, the process continues. No Excel list, bulk action or chasing.

Prepayment handled safely

Standard orders run straight through. The flow only processes prepayment orders once they are paid. So you never ship without payment.

Reliable in daily operations

Dedicated error paths and retries on the critical creation steps catch hiccups. That spares you aborted runs and manual cleanup in the ERP.

Icon: connection

Clean even at high volume

Paginated queries, batch processing and a built-in throttle protect your API. Why that matters is explained in the weclapp API rate limit.

Icon: rule book

Automatic, but under control

You exclude individual orders with a custom attribute and entire sales channels from automatic invoicing. All settings live in one place in the workflow.

What you need

Icon: automation

n8n, in the cloud or self-hosted

n8n Cloud is the fastest start without your own server; its plans bill by executions. Self-hosted gives you more control and more predictable costs at high volume, for example on a Hostinger VPS (20% off via our link).

weclapp with REST API

An API token with permissions for orders, deliveries and invoices. That's all you need on the weclapp side.

Live in five steps

From import to your first automated order, no coding required.

01

Import the workflow

Upload the workflow in n8n via “Import from File”. Some nodes will then show a red triangle. That's normal and disappears in the next step.

02

Add your credentials

Create an HTTP credential with your weclapp API token and base URL. Then open every node with a red triangle, assign the credential and save.

03

Enter your settings

In the “Edit Fields Constants” node, enter tenant, sales channels, rules before order confirmation and invoicing logic. Create the required custom attributes in weclapp and add their IDs there as well.

04

Set the interval

Open the Schedule Trigger and choose the interval; the default is every 5 minutes. Save.

05

Test and activate

Create a test order, run the workflow manually and check: order confirmation, delivery note, delivery, invoice, closing. If everything fits, activate the workflow.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need programming skills?

No. You import the workflow, add your weclapp credentials and enter your settings in one central place. The five steps above guide you through the setup.

Does the Autopilot run in n8n Cloud and self-hosted?

Yes, both work. In n8n Cloud, costs per execution apply depending on your plan; self-hosted, you only pay for your server.

What about orders that shouldn't run automatically?

You exclude individual orders with a custom attribute in weclapp. You can exclude entire sales channels from automatic invoicing. Prepayment orders only continue once payment has arrived.

Are there ongoing costs?

No, you pay for the workflow once, with no subscription. Costs for n8n itself, meaning a cloud plan or server, come on top.

Can wals.pro set it up for me?

Yes, just get in touch. In an initial call we look at how your order process works and how the Autopilot fits your weclapp best.
