Batch picking with a cart for weclapp: pick scan and labels in advance

Batch picking with Turbo Label: many deliveries, one cart, one scan per item, and the label is ready before the item reaches the packing station.

Shops with many single-item orders per day don't lose time packing, but walking and waiting for the label. Batch picking in Fulfillment 4 weclapp collects several deliveries of one shipping method on one cart, creates a combined pick list by storage location and confirms picks by scan. With Turbo Label, the shipping labels are already created at the carrier when the pick list is completed; printing only happens on the item scan at the packing station. The building block is rolled out with selected customers, which is why we also describe here what it deliberately does not do.

Batch picking with a cart for weclapp: pick scan and labels in advance

How it works

01

Fill the cart

You create a cart with a barcode and a shipping method. The app offers you the open deliveries of this shipping method, limited by your saved delivery filters, and you assign them to the cart. A maximum number of deliveries per cart can be set for each shipping method.

02

Picking

Scan the cart barcode, and the combined pick list shows items sorted by storage location. One item scan confirms the whole group of the same item at the same storage location; manual confirmation remains as a fallback.

03

Turbo Label

When the pick list is completed, the app creates the labels of all suitable deliveries at the carrier without printing them. This runs while the cart is on its way to the packing station.

04

Packing

At the packing station, you tap the delivery on the cart and scan the item, and the label created in advance is printed; the delivery moves to Shipped in weclapp. A label is never printed twice. If the whole cart consists only of single-item deliveries, you can ship it in one step with "Complete with Turbo": the app creates, prints and ships all labels without packing each delivery individually.

Who it's for

Single-item shippers

Shop shippers with many deliveries that consist of exactly one item in quantity one, such as stationery, accessories or small parts.

Fixed storage locations

Warehouses with fixed storage locations, where walking routes set the pace.

Picking and packing separated

Teams that separate picking and packing and use the cart as the handover point.

Limits, honestly

Single items only

Turbo Label only applies to deliveries with exactly one item in quantity one. You pack everything else as usual with item scan.

Real carrier labels

The labels are real labels booked at the carrier. That is why we only activate Turbo Label after aligning with you and your carrier contract.

Weight required

Deliveries without an item weight and without a packaging weight for the shipping method are skipped and packed manually. The booking weight includes the standard box; if you use a different box when packing, the app only warns you, because the label has already been bought.

Print errors

If printing fails, the delivery stays unshipped and the app offers to print again.

The preselection does the filtering

weclapp cannot filter by line item quantities. The app therefore filters the "single items only" preselection itself; mixed deliveries can show up in the selection and are then packed normally.

Rolled out with selected customers

Batch picking and Turbo Label are rolled out with selected customers. In a call, we tell you where things currently stand.

Frequently asked questions

Which carriers does Turbo Label work with?

With shipping methods where a label can be created in advance and printed later. We check your carrier together with you before activation.

What if an item is missing while picking?

The group stays open, and the pick list can only be completed once all groups are done. You take the delivery off the cart and process it in weclapp.

Do I need new hardware for this?

No. A cart with a barcode, a handheld scanner and a label printer at the packing station are enough; the app runs in the browser or as an installed web app on the handheld, as far as its browser supports it.
