- Flag on the item: LQ only applies if all items with the same UN number in the package carry the LQ flag.
- Quantity limits: The app checks the quantity per inner packaging against guideline values per class and packing group. Column 7a of the ADR table for your UN number remains decisive.
- Density factor: The app converts limits in liters using the density in kilograms. Example: cleaning product of class 8, packing group II, 1.03 kg per bottle, density 1.03 g/ml. The limit of 1 liter corresponds to 1.03 kg, so the bottle may go out as LQ. Without the density factor it would have failed at the 1 kg limit. More on this: Net weight and density factor.
- Package limit: at most 30 kg per package.
- Excluded: Classes 1 and 7 never go as LQ.
LQ line items count as zero in the ADR points and 1000-point rule.
