Packaging reporting based on real shipping data.

Pilot for companies in Austria

We want to use a completed reporting period to check whether your packaging report can be prepared in a traceable way from the real shipping events in your ERP. We are looking for pilot partners for this. You still submit the report yourself.

Sold is not the same as packed

The invoice shows what was sold. What gets reported is what was packed and placed on the market. That is why these cases shift the reported kilograms, sometimes up, sometimes down.

Shipping box and filler material

Box, filler material, tape, and label are used for every parcel. They never appear on an invoice line.

Partial and combined deliveries

One order, two parcels: two boxes. Two orders, one parcel: one box.

Replacement deliveries and samples

No invoice or a zero-value invoice, but packed and shipped like any other shipment.

Box changes during the year

The same item ships in a different box in spring than in autumn. The invoice looks the same both times.

How the pilot works

A real period with your data, not a demo with sample numbers.

Icon: completed reporting period

1 · We choose a completed period

A reporting period that you have already submitted. That gives us a real benchmark, and we don't interfere with a report that is still in progress.

Icon: report draft from shipping data

2 · We create a report draft

From the shipments and parcels in your ERP and a versioned packaging bill of materials that we build together with you, a draft is created for each tariff category. Every line stays traceable down to the individual document.

Icon: comparison with the submitted report

3 · We compare it with your report

A difference report shows where the draft deviates from the report you submitted and why. We discuss the result together. "It matches" is also a valid result.

How we work

Icon: quantities from shipping

Quantities from real shipping

The basis is the actual shipments and parcels from your ERP. The invoice serves as a cross-check, not as the data source. We are starting with weclapp users.

Icon: block open cases

Unknowns are not estimated

If a role, a document, or a packaging item is unclear, the case stays open and blocks approval. We prefer an open question with a name on it over a number nobody can derive.

Icon: approval stays with you

AI assigns, you approve

AI suggests assignments, a person reviews them. Approval and the report to your collection and recycling scheme stay with you.

Is the pilot right for you?

We clarify whether it fits in a short intro call.

This is a good fit

  • Registered office in Austria
  • You already report your packaging quantities yourself to your collection and recycling scheme
  • Shipping and parcel data for a completed reporting period
  • One person in-house who gives the business sign-off
  • weclapp users preferred

Then it's not (yet) a fit

  • You are looking for someone to submit the report for you
  • You need an authorized representative in Austria or another EU country
  • You expect a legal assessment of your role
  • There is no completed reporting period with shipping data yet

Where we stand today

01

Pilot phase

We are looking for our first pilot partners. The scope and timing of a later offer have not been decided yet.

02

The report stays with you

We provide the data basis and expert assistance, not the submission. We do not act as a legal representative.

03

No legal advice

Assessing your role remains with your tax or legal advisor. We handle the process: packaging as a bill of materials, quantities from real shipping, traceable down to the document.

04

Austria first

The pilot starts with the Austrian reporting route. Other countries and reporting obligations are not part of this pilot.

Packaging Reporting Pilot Austria

Will you submit the report for me?

No. We create a traceable report draft with a full document trail. You submit the report yourself, just as you do today.

Why a completed reporting period?

Because a submitted report already exists for it. That way we compare the draft directly with your actual figures, without interfering with a report that is still in progress.

What data do you need?

The shipments and parcels from your ERP for the chosen period, your submitted report for comparison, and details about your packaging: which box, which filler material, which product packaging. This information is usually not in the ERP. We build the bill of materials for it together in the pilot.

Does this only work with weclapp?

We are starting with weclapp because that is where we work every day. If you use a different ERP, get in touch anyway.

What does the PPWR change about my reporting in Austria?

The EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR, Regulation (EU) 2025/40) has applied since August 12, 2026. At first it changes nothing about the Austrian reporting route, and the Austrian Packaging Ordinance (Verpackungsverordnung) remains the framework. Many requirements phase in over the coming years. Which obligations apply to you depends on your role. It is best to clarify that with your advisor.

I ship from abroad to Austria. Is the pilot right for me?

Not yet. Shipping from abroad to Austria is a topic of its own. The pilot is aimed at companies with their registered office in Austria.

I advise merchants. Can I take part?

Yes, get in touch. If you have clients with a suitable reporting period, we'll find a way together. Tax and legal advice stays with you.

Bring a reporting period.

In a short intro call, we clarify whether the pilot fits you: how you report today, what data is available, and which period is suitable. Write to Markus directly or use the form.
