Reporting Right in the weclapp Chat: Revenue, Top Customers, Open Items, Without a BI Tool
It's Friday afternoon, and someone asks the one question: "How did the last three months compare?" What happens next in many weclapp teams, everyone knows: export to Excel, pivot table, adjusting formulas, or opening the BI tool that was set up a year ago and that exactly one person in the company can really operate since.
Both work. But both are work that the data no longer requires. It has long been sitting in weclapp.
Three questions, three answers
With weclapp AI, you ask report questions right where you already work: in your team's AI tool, whether Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot Studio:
- "Show me revenue per month since January." → Monthly analysis with totals, directly from your invoices.
- "Which ten customers brought in the most revenue this year?" → Top 10 list with amounts and document count.
- "All open items over €1,000, grouped by customer." → Grouped overview, sorted by amount.
The decisive part happens invisibly: The language model doesn't calculate the numbers, the server does. weclapp AI counts, sums and groups server-side over your real data, up to 50,000 documents per analysis, and hands the assistant only the finished result. No estimated numbers, no hallucinated totals.
What the analysis can do in detail
- Sums, averages, minimum, maximum, count, individually or combined
- Grouping by customer, status, item, month, quarter or year. Periods are delimited correctly according to German time
- Currency-safe: Amounts in different currencies are never silently added up
- Conversational: "And only the DACH customers out of those?" The refinement comes as the next answer, without you having to rebuild anything
- Document-ready: Results can be generated directly as a PDF and stored on the record
What it costs, and what it replaces
A dedicated BI setup quickly costs small teams several hundred euros a month. Tableau alone, with two Creator and four Explorer licenses, comes to roughly €300 a month (list prices July 2026). With weclapp AI, reporting is included, and the open beta is completely free until 12/31/2026.
What a BI tool is still the right tool for
Honesty is part of it: a permanent dashboard on the monitor in the hallway, data models across several systems (shop + ERP + ad accounts) or specialized statistical analyses: for these, a BI tool remains the better choice. The point is a different one: the vast majority of everyday reporting questions no longer need any of that. They need an answer, now, in the chat.
And security?
Analyses are read-only access. Every team member has a personal login with their own permissions, and every action, including every query, is in the audit trail. As soon as anything is written, the rule applies anyway: preview first, approval by you, otherwise nothing happens.
Or as Karl Heinz Hermann, Managing Director of Das Gesunde Tier, put it: "I bow deeply, this is adventurously strong."
