How a franchise in the solar industry scales with weclapp

15 months, 11 locations, over 120 employees: PV Green demonstrates what close, long-term collaboration between a customer and the weclapp partner network can achieve. Together with M IT-Systemhaus and a strong team from PV Green, we at wals.pro have built a digital foundation that not only allows for growth, but also makes it predictable .

Initial situation

In 2020, Cord Kappe founded PV Green GmbH with the goal of driving the energy transition in an affordable and scalable way. PV Green Franchise GmbH followed in 2024. The franchise relies on an integrated concept: onboarding via a dedicated academy with over 200 training videos and AI sales training , proven marketing, purchasing advantages, centralized product maintenance for over 1,800 products , and a paperless process landscape with interfaces and automation. This is made possible by a stable database and two supporting systems: Reonic and weclapp .

Why weclapp became the backbone

Growth requires end-to-end digitized processes and an ERP system that can scale and be maintained with minimal staffing . Initially, four systems were running in parallel; only after research and testing did they choose weclapp – primarily because of its powerful API.
"Our goal was a smart, efficient system we could build on. We found that with weclapp ERP."Christopher Schoppmann, IT & Processes Team Leader

Introduction & expansion in the partner network

We are jointly responsible for the implementation and further development: PV Green as the content pacesetter, wals.pro and M IT-Systemhaus as weclapp specialists. The goal: centrally controllable , locally applicable , clear standards . In everyday life, PV Green uses weclapp particularly intensively in CRM , offer management (in addition to the solar software), warehouse management , accounting , dunning , interface functions , and contract management .

What works today

With API integration, order processes are shortened from 10 minutes to 4 seconds . Project folders are created in under 20 seconds instead of 15–20 minutes (including images, depending on server load). A complete system integration is ready for use in less than two hours . Scaling becomes concrete: A back-office employee manages central processes for all 11 locations , such as item maintenance . Automation is being systematically added: Maintenance contracts will be billed automatically in the future – with minimal personnel effort. The elimination of redundant tasks increases productivity and, supported by training , the conversion rate for the franchise and among customers.

ERP in daily business – plus PWA

weclapp supports PV Green in project planning , installation , and service : predictable data provision, high availability, reliable updates, transparent communication, automation without chaos, openness to other systems, as well as clarity and intuitive operation. In contract management , maintenance contracts are organized and—with the correctly configured workflow— billed fully automatically . A special highlight is the PWA for installers developed by PV Green: It connects weclapp with the inventory , transforms the vehicle into a mobile warehouse , and identifies items via EAN code , including a best-price search . E-mobility projects are also mapped as standard, supplemented by items with serial numbers .

Onboarding & Learning

The implementation was structured , supported by the certified weclapp partners wals.pro and M IT-Systemhaus . The goal was to embed expertise so that PV Green could develop independently . Training sessions , video recordings , and feedback surveys effectively supported employee onboarding. Practical advice: Regularly review and optimize processes and use the API documentation to explore the possibilities .

Conclusion

PV Green shows how franchise scaling succeeds when customers and partners pull together: weclapp with a strong API as the backbone, clear standards , practical onboarding , and continuous development – as a resilient operating model for the next stage of expansion.
