Currently, communication between Shopify and weclapp regarding returns is severely limited. After the initial order creation in weclapp, subsequent transactions such as returns, exchanges, or credit notes recorded via Shopify are not transferred to weclapp. This lack of synchronization complicates returns management and makes transparent refund control virtually impossible.

Our Flow integrates 8Returns as a central returns portal and automates the entire process:
Customers conveniently register their returns via the 8Returns portal. From there, the entire process, including status updates, refunds, and inventory adjustments, is automatically synchronized between Shopify and weclapp. The result: less manual effort, more transparency, and an optimized after-sales customer experience.

Automated returns

Customers register returns via 8Returns, choose between a refund or exchange (exchange currently only available in Germany), and receive a return label.

Returns management

As soon as the returned items arrive and are scanned, the return is automatically created in weclapp and the inventory is updated accordingly.

Synchronization with 8Returns

The return recorded in weclapp automatically sets the “arrived” flag in 8Returns to complete the return process across all systems.

Refund via Shopify

If a refund is manually initiated in 8Returns, the flow automatically creates a corresponding credit note in weclapp. Any differences in shipping costs are shown as a separate item.
